Thanks to the innovative Thermal Boost technology for LiFePO4 batteries expands the Anker SOLIX Solar Bank 2 series significantly expands the application area. It guarantees safety and optimum performance – even at temperatures down to -20°C.
When the battery temperature is below 10°C and there is photovoltaic input, the system activates the heating film for heating. The power consumption of the heating film is about 80W. When the battery temperature reaches 15°C, the heating film stops working. In this way, the heating film can effectively protect the battery in a low temperature environment and ensure that it works within a suitable temperature range, thereby extending the battery life and improving the overall efficiency of the system.
Does the Solarbank 2 E1600 AC require a microinverter?
no, the Solarbank 2 E1600 AC has an integrated microinverter and 2 MPPT. For more solar input you can add another microinverter (max. 800W).
Does the Solarbank 2 E1600 AC work with smart plugs?
Yes, every Solarbank 2 AC can be connected to up to 6 smart plugs (using the same 2,4 GHz WiFi router). Note: Solarbank 2 can be controlled by either a smart meter or smart plugs, but not both at the same time. In self-consumption mode, it follows the data from the smart meter. In smart plug mode, it follows the data from one or more smart plugs.
Does the Solarbank 2 E1600 AC work with a smart meter? How does it work?
Yes, with that Anker SOLIX Smart Meter and Shelly 3EM. In self-consumption mode, it adjusts power output based on consumption data (2,4 GHz Wi-Fi required). Only one smart meter can be connected at a time.
Does the solar bank require 2 E1600 AC WLAN and the Anker-App?
For the initial setup, WLAN and the AnkerApp required. You can later change settings and check the status via Bluetooth nearby. WiFi is required for the Smart Meter or Smart Plug.
Can I use the Solarbank 2 AC in case of a power outage?
Yes, the MPPT solar charging remains active, but not the microinverter PV output. For off-grid operation: unplug the microinverter and enable "off-grid" in the app. The off-grid socket delivers up to 1000W, with battery packs up to 1200W.
Can I use the Solarbank 2 E1600 AC with older models in my energy system?
