What is AIKO Solar ABC technology?
The ABC technology is a highly developed and advanced process for increasing the efficiency of crystalline silicon cells.
The basic concept of the remarkable new technology is based on the restructuring of the components within the solar cell. By inserting additional elements, the efficiency of the cell can be improved. To do this, the contacts are moved from the front to the back of the cell in order to maximize the surface area for light absorption. The changed arrangement allows the solar cells to use the incoming light more effectively. In this way, greater efficiency is achieved. This enables outputs of up to 610 watts and efficiencies of almost 24 percent to be achieved.
Despite higher manufacturing costs, the purchase price for the new modules is only slightly higher and is largely compensated by the higher efficiency. ABC solar cell technology is therefore an attractive prospect for both private and industrial systems.
