Do these Anker Smart Meters come directly from Anker?
Mini Power is one of the official sales partners of Anker in Europe. We promise that all our products are original Anker products.
What precautions should be followed when installing the smart meter?
The Anker Smart Meter does not need to be connected to a power source separately. After connecting via the power cable, you can measure the voltage. After connecting to the current transformer, you can measure the current. The Anker Smart Meter calculates the power value using the measured voltage and current and transmits the result via WLAN to the Solar Bank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus.
When installing the Anker Smart MeteThe following precautions must be followed, otherwise the self-consumption mode will not work properly:
1. That Anker Smart Meter measures the total electricity consumption of the household. Be sure to install the current transformer on the mains line on the mains access side of the household, not on the household's power distribution branch.
2. The phases of voltage and current measurement must be consistent.
3. The arrow mark on the current transformer must point to “Mains” and the current transformer must not be installed upside down.

Does the smart meter require access to the Internet or does it have to be installed in areas with Internet connection?
The Anker Smart Meter communicates with the Solar Bank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus via WLAN and must therefore be installed in areas with Internet connection. The communication between the Solar Bank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus and the Anker Smart Meter is done over a LAN (Local Area Network), and the network configuration requires both devices to connect to the same LAN. Otherwise, the self-consumption mode may not work properly. For example, if one device is connected to a router and the other device is connected to a mobile hotspot, the Solar Bank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus and Anker Smart Meter do not communicate with each other.
Notes:
1. Place the Solar Bank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus and Anker Smart Meter If possible, no further than 10 meters from the router. Also make sure that there are as few obstacles and walls in between as possible to ensure a strong WiFi signal. Alternatively, you can add more repeaters for a stronger signal.
2. Check if the router uses 2,4 GHz communication, as the Solar Bank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus and Anker Smart Meter do not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
How can the performance of the smart meter be checked?
The Anker Smart Meter does not have a display to check performance directly. Instead, you can create a “home system” in the Anker app and check performance on the home screen.
Can the Smart Meter be connected to multiple Solarbank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus devices at the same time?
No that Anker Smart Meter can only be done with a single Solar Bank 2 E1600 Pro/Plusdevice.
Which devices does the Anker SOLIX Smart Meter work with?
Currently, the Anker SOLIX Smart Meter only working with a single Solar Bank 2 E1600 Pro/Plusdevice, does not communicate with two or more Solar Bank 2 E1600 Pro/Plusdevices. If you have multiple Solar Bank 2 E1600 Pro/Plusdevices, you must have a Anker Smart Meter to install.
