Used batteries and waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) must not be disposed of with unsorted household waste. Separate collection allows for the safe treatment of hazardous substances and the recycling of valuable raw materials. On this page, you will find information on how to prepare for a return to Mini Power and what safety rules apply, especially to lithium batteries.
Symbol of a crossed-out trash can
The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol means that batteries and electrical appliances must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste at the end of their lifespan. Please use the designated return and collection points.
Return of used batteries
End users are required to collect used batteries separately and dispose of them at a designated collection point. Used batteries of the categories that we currently or previously offered in our product range can be returned free of charge in accordance with legal requirements. Purchasing a new battery is not necessary.
Mini Power organizes the take-back and proper recycling of batteries in cooperation with our battery suppliers and/or the take-back systems they have commissioned. To ensure we can determine a safe and permissible return route based on battery type, condition, and location, please always contact us before returning any batteries.
Return of waste electrical and electronic equipment
Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) must be collected separately and can be disposed of at municipal collection points or via the legally prescribed return channels. Where Mini Power is legally obligated to take back such equipment, we will provide the necessary return option. Please contact us in advance so that we can verify the device type, dimensions, collection or return method, and whether it contains batteries.
Before returning a device, delete all personal data, insofar as this is technically possible. Removable used batteries or bulbs should only be removed if this can be done without damage, without opening any safety-relevant housing, and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Safety of lithium batteries
Never send lithium batteries, battery storage systems, or devices containing lithium batteries to Mini Power or our warehouse without prior notification. Shipment is only permitted after you have received explicit return and packaging instructions from us. Standard parcel shipping is not automatically suitable for batteries.
- Do not open, disassemble, puncture, short-circuit, or attempt to repair batteries yourself.
- Secure the terminals of exposed removable batteries against short circuits if required by our return policy.
- Do not send batteries that are swollen, leaking, damaged, unusually warm, or otherwise showing signs of wear. Keep away from heat sources and flammable materials and contact us immediately for a safe, case-by-case solution.
- Please observe the manufacturer's instructions regarding storage, transport and returns.
