The Huawei Smart Dongle WLAN-FE supports the smooth wireless communication of the inverters. To do this, the module is simply connected via USB (Plug and Play) connected and then builds one WiFi- Or Ethernetconnection. Up to 10 devices can be networked in this way.

The data transmission of the Huawei smart dongle WLAN-FE takes place according to the 802.11b/g/n standard at a frequency of 2,412GHz to 2,484GHz. Communication with third-party management systems is also possible, provided they use the communication protocol of the Huawei Smart Dongle WLAN-FE to match.

Commissioning the WLAN module is quick and easy. The LED display shows the current status of the module and helps with setup. Can my inverters also work without Huawei Smart Dongle WLAN-FE?

Inverters can work without Smart Dongle WiFi, but they cannot retrieve module-level power generation data from PV systems or perform online system diagnostics and maintenance. In other words, you won't be able to fully utilize the module-level features that inverters are primarily designed for.
Furthermore, the Huawei Smart Dongle is more than just a small device. This gives you free lifetime access to the Huawei FusionSolar monitoring platform. This means you always have all operating data at hand. View real-time, module-level data from your PV system, remotely diagnose problems, and maintain your system with minimal costs.

Can a Huawei Smart Dongle WLAN-FE also work and collect data without WiFi?

Yes. Our Huawei Smart Dongles have different models for different communication modes such as WiFi and 4G.
You can choose the 4G version if you have limited internet access. You can also check the system on the Huawei FusionSolar platform by simply inserting a 4G card like a mobile phone.

It is strongly recommended that you only install the Smart Dongle 4G in an area with sufficient network coverage and a strong cellular signal.
