Right of withdrawal and voluntary return

Businesses (B2B): no right of withdrawal or general return

Businesses as defined in Section 14 of the German Civil Code (BGB) are not entitled to the statutory right of withdrawal for consumers. The voluntary 30-day return policy also applies exclusively to consumers.

New Power GmbH will only accept returns of undamaged goods from businesses if it has expressly confirmed the return in writing, for example by email, prior to the return shipment. If the business organizes an approved return itself, it bears the return shipping costs and the risk of accidental loss or damage until the goods are actually received at the confirmed return location. If New Power GmbH arranges the return shipment itself, it bears this risk from the moment the goods are properly handed over to the carrier it has commissioned.

This policy applies exclusively to the voluntary return of non-defective goods. Statutory warranty rights and the necessary expenses to be borne by New Power GmbH in the context of subsequent performance remain unaffected.

Transaction fees for a refund before delivery

If you request a refund after placing your order and before delivery, we will charge a transaction fee on the amount to be refunded:

• 1,8% for payments made by credit card,
• 3,0% when paying with PayPal,
• 3,0% when paying with Klarna.

Statutory right of withdrawal for consumers

The following cancellation policy applies to consumers. A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither attributable to their commercial nor their self-employed professional activity.

Right to cancel


You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without the need to state any reason.

The cancellation period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, took possession of the last goods, the last partial shipment or the last piece.

You may use the model withdrawal form below; however, this is not obligatory.

In order to comply with the withdrawal period, it is sufficient that you send the notification of the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the expiry of the withdrawal period.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including delivery costs, without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we received your notification of withdrawal. This excludes any additional costs incurred if you chose a delivery method other than the cheapest standard delivery option offered by us.

For the refund, we will use the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise. The aforementioned transaction fees for refunds requested after the order has been placed and before delivery remain unaffected. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have provided proof that you have returned them, whichever is earlier.

Please send your return within fourteen days of declaring your cancellation and ship the goods no later than twenty-one days afterward. Otherwise, we will consider your cancellation invalid and reserve the right to charge you for any additional costs incurred.

Costs and return procedure

If the product is not faulty or defective, we will not cover the return shipping costs and will not provide a return label.

Please note that any alleged damage or defect must be confirmed by a written statement from an expert or the manufacturer.

Never return batteries, battery storage systems, or devices containing lithium batteries without prior notification. Please wait for our explicit shipping and packaging instructions.

Please note that you may be required to return each item in the same condition in which you received it.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods if this diminished value is due to handling which was not necessary for testing the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods, and you have been properly informed of your right of withdrawal.

For products without original packaging or for products with clear signs of use or damage, the cancellation period is the statutory minimum period of fourteen days.

Refusal of acceptance and double shipping fee

Please accept the package first if your order has already been shipped and you wish to return the goods. If you refuse delivery, a double shipping fee may be deducted from your original payment.

Legal exceptions

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply, in particular, to contracts for the supply of goods that are not prefabricated and for whose production an individual selection or specification by the consumer is decisive, or which are clearly tailored to personal needs. This can include cables and wires cut to customer specifications. This exception does not apply to prefabricated standard cables solely due to their product characteristics.

Voluntary return policy from the 15th to the 30th day

In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal, we voluntarily grant consumers the option of returning suitable goods up to thirty days after receipt. For returns after the statutory withdrawal period has expired, i.e., generally from the 15th to the 30th day, the following conditions apply exclusively.

Please notify us of your return request no later than 30 days after receipt. After our confirmation, please return the goods immediately and no later than fourteen days after receipt, following the shipping and packaging instructions we provide.

Requirements and exclusions

The following items are excluded from the voluntary right of return after the statutory cancellation period has expired:

• all cables and wires, regardless of whether they are standardized or custom-cut to customer specifications,
• Goods without complete original packaging,
• Goods that have been unpacked and connected, installed or put into operation on a power grid, storage system or other energy source, as well as
• Goods that have been used beyond a purely visual and completeness check.

The goods must be returned complete, undamaged, and with all included accessories. The terms and exclusions of this section apply only to the voluntary right of return after the statutory withdrawal period has expired. The statutory right of withdrawal, statutory warranty rights, guarantee claims, and other mandatory rights remain unaffected.

Costs and reimbursement during the voluntary return period

For goods that are neither faulty nor defective, you bear the direct costs of return shipping; we do not provide a return shipping label. Batteries or hazardous materials may only be returned after our express authorization.

After receiving and inspecting the returned goods, we will refund the purchase price. Original shipping costs are not refunded under this voluntary return policy. Refunds are generally issued via the original payment method used for the order. The above policy regarding transaction fees for refunds requested before delivery remains unaffected.
